Family Medicine Residency Program
Based out of the Womack Family Medicine Residency Clinic (WFMRC) the Womack Family Medicine Residency Program is the Army's largest family medicine residency program with 30 slots, 10 slots allocated to each of the three training years. Training for residents is provided in the clinic by over 10 full time family medicine faculty, a clinical psychologist, clinical pharmacologist, and a wide spectrum on sub-specialists from throughout the hospital. Residents are trained for full-scope Family Medicine in our clinic and throughout the hospital in the fields of adult medicine, sports medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, geriatrics, pediatrics, office-based procedures, and inpatient care.
Our patient population includes over 14,000 active duty, family members, and retirees enrolled in our clinic and we provide inpatient care for over 200,000 beneficiaries in the Ft. Bragg area. In addition to these populations we have the unique opportunity to have increased exposure to operational medicine through one of the largest local population of operational medicine providers in the Army and by providing direct care for Airborne and Special Operations soldiers.
