Mission:

Provide the highest level of service, care, and treatment possible for all Active Duty soldiers, retirees, and beneficiaries seen by the Department of Medicine.

Vision:

The Army’s Medical Center of Excellence…..the choice of America’s finest!

WAMC serves close to 120,000 eligible beneficiaries in the region, the largest beneficiary population in the Army.  As a 138- bed military treatment facility, WAMC has nearly 70,000 Emergency Department visits and over 11,000 admissions every year.
The Department of Medicine (DOM), with 99 staff members and 30 providers, annually completes over 80,000 outpatient visits across multiple subspecialties including general internal medicine, cardiology, dermatology, allergy/immunology, neurology, hematology/oncology, gastroenterology, and pulmonary disease.  The DOM also supports the inpatient mission by staffing the ICU and inpatient wards and serving as consultants to all other services.
