In addition to the broad spectrum of clinical diagnoses normally seen in this service, additional training will occur during the monthly Journal Club discussions and Diabetic Retinopathy Clinic, and the student will assist in the Optometry Technician Training and Assessment program. The extern will be directly supervised by staff optometrists and/or the Optometry Resident.
