What We Need From You:

The first step to be considered for plastic surgery at Womack Army Medical Center is to make an appointment with your PCM (Primary Care Manager). Explain to your PCM that you are interested in plastic surgery and what procedure you are requesting. At that time your PCM will review the referral criteria for that procedure and if appropriate will enter a referral in the system.

Once the referral is submitted, it will be reviewed by the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Service. Please allow at least 72 business hours from the date the referral was submitted for a disposition. The patient will then call (910) 907-7405 (Follow voice prompts) regarding the referral disposition. Priorities of appointments in the clinic are given first to patients who have a need for an immediate medically necessary procedure followed by active duty and other eligible beneficiaries. Please be patient when calling to check the disposition of your referral or schedule an appointment.

Items you need to bring to your first appointment could include but are not limited to:
  • Any radiographic studies that you have had in regards to the issue you are seeing plastics for (Mammogram, X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, etc)
  • If you had surgeries outside of WAMC then we need the Operative notes
  • Implants that were placed anywhere besides WAMC then we need your implant information (Implant Card, Operative note).

Prior to your first appointment you will need to print, fill out, and sign these documents to bring to your initial appointment:
