Welcome to Fort Bragg, North Carolina! One of the busiest military complexes worldwide, Fort Bragg is home to the legendary 82nd Airborne Division, the XVIII Airborne Corps, the U.S. Army Special Operations Command, the U.S. Army Forces Command, the U.S. Army Reserve Command and the U.S. Army Parachute Team, the Golden Knights. By population, Fort Bragg is the largest Army installation in the world, home to nearly 10 percent of the Army's active component forces. Womack Army Medical Center, a state-of-the-art medical complex, is an integral component of Fort Bragg's military mission.

Womack Army Medical Center’s Department of Optometry is proud to have two Optometry residency programs:
- Residency in Primary Eye Care in Affiliation with the Northeastern State University of Oklahoma, College of Optometry (NSUOCO)
- Residency in Vision Rehabilitation (Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation) in Affiliation with the State University of New York (SUNY), State College of Optometry
