OBJECTIVES/DESCRIPTION OF CLERKSHIP:

The Emergency Medicine Clerkship is an intense, hands on clinical rotation geared toward the needs of students at various levels of training. The students become an integral part of the Emergency Care team. Revolving shift work, day, evening, and nights, will be experienced. Shifts are 9-12 hours long, with varying number per week.  There is a weekly set of lectures on pertinent emergency medicine topics.  All students are directly supervised by staff. Students are given selected reading assignments and an end of rotation test.
